classical music in the last 25 years. Nonesuch Records version (with the angel voice of Dawn Upshaw)is, of course THE reference. It was used in movies, most notably in Peter Weir's Fearless. It took guts to compose a symphony that called the following movements: 1. Lento - sostenuto tranquillo ma cantabile; 2. Lento e largo - tranquillissimo; 3. Lento - cantabile-semplice.

At home, we have 7 CDs of Gorecki's music, which is generally more "savage".
