Options only have a life up until the event has occured (in this case 12 weekends after release) and then cash out - so no adjust - if the price is nowhere near what you think (or can prove) the delist/cashout will be, then it is a good investment opportunity
Movie Stocks have a life which includes 2 events, their opening weekend and 4 weekends after opening (or 12 for limited releases), so they get adjusted to give a new value which is intended to be the calculated value for the second event, based on the first event
