I think HSX's adjusts, etc., do not factor in 'foreign' markets...Box Office Battle (if that's what you're referring to)
is right in that most players are looking at the U.S. market, and domestic box office figures. I have NO idea how much a movie earned in overseas markets, and quiet honestly do not care.
Box Office Mojo has been around a long time, and I've used it in my 10 years here to refer to various opening weekends, etc...but I do not take it as the 'source' for figures on totals.
Remember that HSX uses ERC for their adjusts, etc., and I'm sure the sources they use to determine total box office (for U.S. only) is NOT BOM...their figures must come from more accurate and reliable sources, but that's not to say they are right 100% of the time.
For players to complain they got ripped off a whole $2000 in fake cash because HSX had the wrong figures, to ME, seems petty.
I think they are right including U.S. domestic box office totals, otherwise, we'd have people complaining about which figures they should use. You have to have some 'rules' set up for the game, and this is obviously one of them.
If it's really that big of a deal, then I'd skip playing it...HSX has come up with a fun, new way to add some $$ to the game, and already people want it changed, or other categories added, or want them to use different figures.
