More accounts mean trading volumes which is required for sustenance/better price movements (& potentially for funding of the site I imagine), I just suggested some things to improve the fallout of some actions which can happen sometimes, for other players. But its also important people don't stop playing due to percieved injustices. You'll find loads of accounts that stopped playing in the last 3 years (just look at old leagues) - would be for a variety of reasons, this could be one of them.
Many people likely create alt a/c's just for the kick of seeing themselves on top of leaderboards/leagues coz its all simple % based & once you have a big base there's little chance of reaching it (I was pleasantly surprised on 31st to see myself in 2021 full year top 100, 'coz I didn't think there was any chance after starting the year at 500m+, btw I was the only such a/c in that list & barely there near the bottom, no chance of a repeat ever again now), but some can choose to use them to game the system as it is, esp once the alts grow bigger. Just trying to minimise that. Not sure if the authorities that be took any notice.
