I agree that some of the columns are too wide. I'd be very interested to see HSX give traders the ability to reorder the columns in the portfolio as they see fit. Each player could customize it as they please (i.e. make columns narrower or wider, move a column to the right or left, be able to bold specific columns to make it easier to read, etc). HSX could start everyone off with set columns that they can customize or leave the same if they want.
I'd also be interested in HSX giving traders the ability to group their stocks into different categories while looking at their portfolio. They could decide to make a group of all their Horror movie stocks, all the Rachel McAdams movies they own stocks in, all their "safe and long term" stocks they have, their "high risk" stocks, or whatever groups they decide to make. That way, they don't have to look at one long and sometimes unorganized list. They can still be grouped within the larger group of MovieStocks, etc though.
Overall, I like this design much better than the last beta. Anyone else a little thrown off by the MSN headlines everywhere?
