The only thing I can see about this is...
so many studios 'shuffle' the release dates of films..it would be very hard (IMO) to keep up with all of it. As you know, even some big blockbuster movies are moved around from one release date to another to avoid conflicts with other films, etc.
Most of the smaller movies do not set their release dates at all...if you see previews at the theaters - sometimes these say "Coming Spring 2010" or something like that...so it may be more of a studio issue, than an HSX issue....
Not sure if this reason answers your idea, but it may be something to consider?

The Portfolio didn't always have Release Date and phase sorting. They were added as a convenience. Aug 05, 10:20
