I'm a long term player (around 12 years), took several years off, recently came back. I worked hard to bo build my port, and even when my interest was waning I made a lot of smart long term moves that built my port just in case I got interested again (which happened). Now, according to the new rules, my H$1.1 billion port would have been gutted with that inactivity fee, which adds nothing to the game. My holding stocks long or short long-term isn't hurting the game any, why penalize it?
