The Cave of the Yellow Dog centers on a little nomad girl who befriends a dog in remote Mongolia. Her family fails to see the dog's good nature until one day when the canine saves everyone from destruction. The film also details how the nomadic family struggles to stay true to its traditional way of life and not settle down for city life. The film is written and directed by Byambasuren Davaa, co-director of the Oscar nominated documentary The Story of the Weeping Camel.
