Description

The music documentary Festival Express focuses on the Canadian rock scene of 1970, specifically the Whistle-Stop Tour. The tour featured artists like Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, and the Band as they traveled from Toronto to Winnipeg. The experience came to be known as the Canadian answer to Woodstock. Bob Smeaton directed the film, which premiered at the 2003 Toronto Film Festival.
