A supernatural thriller, Final Destination follows high school student Alex Browning, who is about to fly to Paris with his French class. However, just before take-off, Alex experiences a premonition that the airplane will soon explode into flames. Only a few of the passengers heed his warnings, and watch from the terminal as the airplane indeed explodes just after take-off. Alex, who will be played by Devon Sawa, feels that he has somehow cheated death, and that doom is still pending. Although no one believes him, the passengers who heeded Alex's warnings begin to meet ugly fates, one by one.
Final Destination is directed by James Wong, who along with partner Glenn Morgan helped wrote and produced episodes of the television series The X-Files.
The project was formerly known as Flight 180.
