Liv Ullman and Ingmar Bergman team up again in this story of a love triangle that, according to Bergman, is based on real characters who have since passed on. Ullman directs from the Bergman script about a woman, her husband and her illicit lover. The Faithless marks the second time that actress-turned-director Ullman will direct from the famed director's script. Trolosa is the original title of the film which means 'faithless' in English. The film stars Therese Brunnander, Juni Dahr, Stina Ekblad and Lena Endre. Other credits for the famous writer/director Bergman include The Passion, Skammen (Shame), Gycklarnas Afton (The Naked Night), Beroringen (The Touch) and Kvinnors Vantan (Secrets of Women). As an actress, Ullman has appeared in The Long Shadow, A Bridge Too far and Gaby: A True Story.
