When Lars Hagelstrom, a debt-ridden, no-good-drunk, discovers that he is in fact the long lost bastard son of Mohandas K. Gandhi, he experiences a spiritual awakening. Abandoning the reckless ways of his past, he travels the country in a loincloth preaching non-violence, tolerance, and his own kielbasa-friendly brand of vegetarianism. Taking his message to the air waves as MC Homespun, the rapping Mahatma, Lars becomes a household name. Unfortunately, with fame comes enemies. A collection of religious extremists, loan-sharks from his past and gangster rappers all converge on Lars' Golden Temple in Newark, NJ to seek revenge. Faced with this danger, Lars must decide whether the time has come to stop spinning cloth and start kicking some ass!
