Ford began his career with small T.V. roles in the late '60s. Disillusioned, he abandoned acting for carpentry, until a casting agent gave a part in American Graffiti. He was later cast as Han Solo in Star Wars. Although Star Wars guaranteed Ford's celebrity status, his role in Raiders of the Lost Ark made him a legend.
