Based on a short story by Raymond Carver, the suspense drama Jindabyne is about a group of men who discover the body of an Aborigine girl in an Australian fishing hole. Instead of reporting the murder right away, the men wait until they’ve filled their coolers with fish. Their inaction sets off a scandal that threatens to tear them apart. Laura Linney, Gabriel Byrne and Lean Purcell star in the film directed by Ray Lawrence. Beatrix Christian scripts the emotionally charged story.
