Description

For Love of the Game is a story told in flashbacks about an aging big league pitcher (Kevin Costner) who ponders his life while pitching a perfect game. For Costner, the film seems like a sure-fire way to polish his image, which had been tarnished by 1997's The Postman. The film is Costner's third baseball movie, following 1988's Bull Durham and 1989's Field of Dreams. Kelly Preston will play the love interest in the film, which will be directed by Sam Raimi.
