When Ray Park lands a role, a film production gets to put his various skills to use.
A second-degree black belt, Park began his career as a stunt coordinator and stunt man on various productions.
Cast as Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Park not only got one of his first acting jobs on one of the most highly publicized productions of all time but he was had the added work of coordinating some of the fighting scenes.
Park will work the same way on Bryan Singer's (The Usual Suspects) next film, X-Men, slated for 2000, starring Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, and Anna Paquin.
Cast as "Toad" in the action/sci-fi feature about unusual children born with an "x-factor" which gives them extraordinary abilities, Park will also aid with the stunt coordination.
