Thomas Gibson began his career with roles in two soap operas, first on As the World Turns from 1986 to 1990, then on Another World for a brief time shortly thereafter. Gibson made the transition to film in 1992 with a role in Far and Away, followed by roles in Love and Human Remains and The Age of Innocence in 1993. After appearing in a handful of other films in 1994, Gibson landed a role on Chicago Hope that same year. Gibson remained on Chicago Hope until 1997, when he landed a title role on Dharma & Greg. The South Carolina native continues to appear in films, however, with recent credits in such films as 1999's Eyes Wide Shut.
