Tumbleweeds features Janet McTeer as Mary Jo, a woman who desperately desires independence, but who instead finds herself in a series of failed relationships.
As Mary Jo flees from yet another ex-husband, her daughter Ava begins to tire of life on the run.
When the two arrive in San Diego, Mary Jo once again marries in haste with predictable results. When Mary Jo decides to run, Ava refuses to leave town.
Ava, who is played by Kimberly Brown, forces her mother into a difficult decision.
Tumbleweeds also stars Gavin O'Connor, who directs the screenplay that he co-wrote with Angela Shelton.
