The weekend box office was pummeled by the Mayweather vs. McGregor megafight as well as Hurricane Harvey to its lowest level since September 2001. The Hitman's Bodyguard [HTMBG] stayed in first place with $10.1 million, down 53% from its debut. The action comedy has grossed nearly $38.0 million.
Annabelle: Creation [ANAB2] also remained in the same spot with $7.4 million to bring its total to $77.9 million after 3 weekends.
Leap! [LEAP] performed best among the new openers at $5.0 million for third place.
Wind River [WNDRV] moved up to the fourth spot with $4.4 million, up 48% from last week. The drama has banked $9.8 million.
Logan Lucky [LUCLO] slipped 43% in its second weekend to $4.4 million and the fifth position.
Birth of the Dragon [BOTDR] debuted at number eight with $2.5 million.
All Saints [ALSNT] earned just $1.6 million to finish outside the top 12.
