The top five films from last weekend carried over to the same positions for the final weekend of the year as Aquaman [AQUMN] remained king of the box office with an estimated $51.6 million. The DC Comics superhero slipped 24% in its second weekend to advance its total to $188.6 million.
Mary Poppins Returns [MPOPN] gained 19% from its opening weekend to stay second with $28.0 million. The Disney musical has earned $98.9 million.
Bumblebee [TFRM6] remained third at $20.5 million, down just 5% from its debut. The Transformers prequel has totaled $66.8 million.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse [ASPDR] finished fourth with $18.3 million, bringing its total to $103.6 million.
The Mule [TMULE] was fifth with $11.8 million to push its total to $60.7 millio.
Vice [CHENY] opened at the sixth spot at $7.8 million and $17.7 million since Tuesday.
Holmes & Watson [HLMWT] debuted seventh overall with $7.3 million and $19.7 million since Tuesday. The comedy bombed with fans and critics alike.
