First trailer for The Farewell

A24 has unveiled the official trailer for the dramedy The Farewell [TFRWL]. Awkwafina [AWKWA] takes the lead as a Chinese-American who returns to her family's hometown in China to stage an impromptu wedding for her grandmother, who has been kept in the dark about her terminal illness. The film premiered at 2019 Sundance to critical acclaim. The Farewell arrives in theaters beginning July 12th.
