With just over a month left in the 2024 U.S. Elections, HSX is once again offering Presidential Options to predict the outcome of the Presidential Race. The two were headed for a rematch until President Biden dropped out of the race in July. Vice President Kamala Harris [KH24] then took over the nomination for the Democratic Party. Former President Donald Trump [DT24] returns as the candidate for the Republican Party.
The U.S. Presidency is determined by the Electoral College, not by a popular vote of the entire country. The Electoral College consists of 538 electors, which represent the 50 States based on the sum of each state's members in the Senate and House of Representatives. A candidate wins the electors for each State by winning the popular vote for that State. An absolute majority of at least 270 electoral votes is required to win the Presidential election.
The Presidential Options will halt trading on Election Day, November 5th at 1pm Pacific Time and cash out based on one electoral vote equals H$1.
