The opening topped Wicked’s $112.5 million last year. The 70% female audience gave Wicked: For Good an A CinemaScore.
Last weekend’s top act, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t [NYSM3] declined 57% to $9.12 million. The sequel has $36.83 million in 10 days.
The Running Man [TRUNM] fell 65% from its opening to $5.8 million. The R-rated remake stands at $27.05 million.
Predator: Badlands [PRED6] grossed $6.25 million in its third session for a cumulative total at $76.28 million.
Rental Family [RNTLF] debuted in fifth place with $3.3 million. The Brendan Fraser starrer also received an A CinemaScore.
Sisu: Road to Revenge [SISU2] opened with $2.6 million, which is less than the original Sisu’s $3.3 million debut in 2023. The actioner skewed males at 81%.
Nuremberg [NUREM] took in another $1.14 million, advancing its total to $10.92 million after 3 weekends.
Sarah’s Oil [SAOIL] struck $771K in its third weekend for a sum of $10.35 million.
Keeper [KEEPR] dropped 76% from its debut to $600K, bringing its total to $3.94 million.
Bugonia [STGPL] earned another $500K to bring its total to $16.91 million.
