Vincent D'Onofrio's first acting gig was that of a lobotomy patient in The First Turn-On! in 1983. Luckily, he was able to break away from being typecast and had better luck playing Dawson, the god-like mechanic in Adventures in Babysitting, opposite Elisabeth Shue.
In 1987, D'Onofrio had a starring role in the stirring Kubrick film Full Metal Jacket as the unhinged Private Pyle. Since than, D'Onofrio has been steadily working in Hollywood and can be seen in Malcolm X, Ed Wood, Strange Days, and Men in Black.
