Warner Bros. has unleashed the official trailer for the horror sequel The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It [CNJU3], the third installment in the series. Patrick Wilson [PWILS] and Vera Farmiga [VFARM] return as paranomal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they investigate the case of a murder suspect who claims demonic possession as a defense.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It opens in theaters and dbuts on HBO Max the same day on June 4th.
IFC Films has unleashed the teaser trailer for the horror comedy Werewolves Within [WRWVW] based on the multiplayer videogame. The snowed-in residents of a small town are terrorized by a hidden monster. It's up to the new forest ranger to solve the murder mystery before the killer claims another victim. The ensemble cast is led by Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub, best known as Lily from AT&T. Werewolves Within opens in theaters on June 25th.
Warner Bros. has uploaded the first seven minutes of the action fantasy Mortal Kombat [MK3], a feature reboot of the series adapted from the videogame franchise. Joe Taslim [JTASL] stars as Bi-Han and Sub-Zero, while Hiroyuki Sanada [HSANA] stars as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion. Mortal Kombat hits theaters and HBO Max simultaneously on April 23rd.
UGC Distribution has unveiled the international trailer for the musical drama Annette [ANNET], which will open the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in July. Adam Driver [ADRIV] and Marion Cotillard [MCOTI] star in the film directed by Leos Carax. Amazon Studio will release Annette stateside.
Marvel has revealed the official teaser for the comic adaptation Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings [SHCHI]. Simu Liu [SLIU] stars in the title role while Tony Leung [TLEUN] co-stars as his father, who's the villainous leader of the Ten Rings, The Mandarin. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton [DDCRE], Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is currently set to open on September 3rd.
The lack of new wide releases allowed holdover films to stretch their legs this weekend at the box office. Godzilla vs. Kong [GOVKO] ruled for a third straight week with an estimated $7.7 million, down 44% from the previous weekend. The film has earned $80.5 million.
Nobody [NOBOD] was off only 5% from last weekend to stay in second place at $2.5 million, bringing its total to $19.1 million after its fourth weekend.

Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled the official trailer for the sports drama 12 Mighty Orphans [12MOR] based on a true story. Luke Wilson [LWILS] stars as a high school football coach who leads a team of orphans to the Texas state championship, inspiring the whole nation during the Great Depression. 12 Mighty Orphans opens in New York and Texas on June 11, and then Everywhere on June 18.

Nobody [NOBOD] is showing strong legs at the box office and could clear $2.1 million for its fourth frame.
After holding exceptionally well for a horror film, The Unholy [SHRNE] adds 207 theaters to bring the total count to 2057. The Unholy looks to collect another $2.0 million.

Lionsgate has cut a redband trailer for the action comedy sequel Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard [HTMB2] with additional R-rated language. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard opens in theaters on June 16th.
IFC Films has dropped the domestic trailer for the Australian crime drama The Dry [THDRY]. Eric Bana [EBANA] stars as a federal agent who returns to his hometowm after 20 years to investigate his childhood friend who allegedlly killed his family before taking his own life. His investigation reopens the past wound of a previous murder, to which he may be connected. Already a blockbuster in Australia, The Dry opesns in theaters stateside on May 21st.
