Warner Bros. has announced that due to the circumstances of the pandemic, Wonder Woman 1984 [WOND2] will debut simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming network HBO Max on December 25th. According to Deadline, "WW1984 will only play on HBO Max for the first 30 days before Warners pulls it off (and again it will be in play in whatever theaters). From day 31 to 60, the sequel will have an exclusive theatrical window before going on PVOD on day 61."
Amazon Studios has released the official trailer for the drama One Night in Miami [1NIMI] directed by Regina King [RKING]. What happens when you put Cassius Clay, Malcolm X, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke in the same room? The four legendary icons came together in 1964 to celebrate Cassius Clay's upset of heavy weight champion Sonny Liston. One Night in Miami will open in theaters on December 25th before hitting Amazon Prime Video on January 15th.
Warner Bros. has unleashed the official trailer for the family film Tom and Jerry [TMJRY] based on the cartoon series. Chloe Grace Moretz [CMORE] stars as a wedding planner who hires the cat Tom to capture the mouse Jerry before he can ruin a wedding at the finest hotel in New York City. Mixing live-action and animation, Tom and Jerryis scheduled to open in theaters on March 5th.
Zack Snyder has revealed an updated trailer for his director's cut of Justice League, in black & white. The previous trailer was pulled due to music copyright issues, which has apparently been cleared. Zack Snyder's Justice League will arrive on HBO Max in four hour-long episodes in 2021.

With COVID-19 cases resurging across the country, moviegoers stayed home as Freaky [FEAKY] underwhelmed with an estimated $3.7 million debut atop the weekend box office. The audience was 55% aged 25 and over and evenly split between the sexes.
Last week's champ, Let Him Go [LETHG] dropped 55% in its second weekend to $1.8 million. The thriller has earned $6.9 million.
The War with Grandpa stayed in third place with $1.3 million in its sixth weekend, bringing its total to $15.2 million.
After two months of lackluster releases from smaller labels, Universal unleashes Freaky [FEAKY] on Friday the 13th. For the second weekend in a row, Focus Features offers the only new wide release in theaters. Kevin Costner [KCOST] and Diane Lane [DLANE] topline the modern western Let Him Go [LETHG]. Targeted at older adults, the R-rated thriller has received favorable reviews. Let Him Go arrives in 2436 theaters. Recent releases during the current pandemic with similar counts have opened in the $3 to 4 million range. Let Him Go will likely perform comparably and bring home around $3.5 million.
