Universal has unleashed the official trailer for the family film sequel A Dog's Journey [ADOG2]. Dennis Quaid [DQUAI] returns from A Dog's Purpose along with Josh Gad [JGAD] as the voice of Bailey, the dog whose soul gets reincarnated over and over again as he finds the meaning of life through the lives of his human companions.  A Dog's Journey arrives in theaters on May 17th.

While a pair of newcomers struggled at the weekend box office, Glass [GLASS] retained the top spot with an estimated $19.0 milllion. The thriller decayed 53% from its opening to advance its total to $73.6 million.

The Upside [NTCHB] stayed in second at $12.2 million, down just 18% in its third weekend.  The dramedy has earned $63.2 million.

Despite leading the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend with a four-day estimate of $47.0 million, Glass [GLASS] underperformed even Universal's pessimistic expectations of at least $50 million.  The audience for the sequel was 54% male and 65% aged 25 or older.
