Universal has debuted the official teaser for the musical Les Miserables [LESMS] set to "I Dreamed A Dream" by Anne Hathaway [AHATH] as Fantine. The musical based on the Victor Hugo novel of 19th Century France also stars Hugh Jackman [HJACK] as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe [RCROW] as Inspector Javert, Amanda Seyfried [ASEYF] as Cosette and Eddie Redmayne [EREDM] as Marius. Directed by Tom Hooper (The King's Speech), Les Miserables bows December 14th.

Universal saved the prophetic line "You sunk my Battleship!" for itself as Battleship [BTSHP] opened a distant second with an estimated $25.4 million, less than half of The Avengers [AVNGR] in first place with $55.1 million.
