The fifth installment in The Fast and The Furious franchise brings the street racing gang to Brazil for a heist. After debuting on ABC Family, the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 [HPOT8] is now available online at Apple.  Daniel Radcliffe [DRADC] stars as Harry Potter as the teenage wizard battles his evil nemesis Voldemort, played by Ralph Fiennes [RFIEN], to the death in the epic conclusion to the series.  With all the character development now out of the way, the last film looks to be filled with wall to wall action.

Moviegoers over the Easter weekend flocked back to the 3D animated Rio [RIO] as the Brazilian birds repeated atop the box office with an estimated $26.8 million.  The Fox film tailed off just 32% in its second weekend, bringing its cumulative total to $81.3 milion.

Madea's Big Happy Family [MDBHF] debuted in second place with $25.8 million.  As expected, Tyler Perry's [TPERR] latest film played to its core audience that was 81% African American and 72% female.

The Easter holiday weekend brings a new film from prolific writer-director Tyler Perry [TPERR], Madea’s Big Happy Family [MDBHF] featuring Perry corss-dressing as the popular grandma character. Perry's fanbase of church-going, older black women has consistently turned out for his films. Last Easter, Why Did I Get Married Too opened to $29.3 million.
