First trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Warner Bros. has revealed the teaser trailer for the fantasy sequel The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug [HOBT2] on Facebook.  Bilbo Baggins and the dwarves continue their journey to reclaim their golden treasure from the dragon Smaug.  Orlando Bloom [OBLOO] returns from The Lord of the Rings trilogy as Legolas while Evangeline Lilly [ELILL] is introduced as the new character of elf warrior Tauriel and Luke Evans [LUEVA] as the human Bard the Bowman.  The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens in theaters on December 13th.
