First trailer for The American.

Focus Features has released the first trailer for The American [THEAM] starring George Clooney [GCLOO] and it's yet another story about a hitman who wants out, but has to complete one last assignment.  Complicating matters are a local woman he romances and the arrival of another, younger assassin, naturally.   Can Clooney's acting elevate the film above the formulaic material?

The American opens in wide release on Wednesday, September 1st.
