Prices on movies that open are fixed (frozen) until reset on the day of adjust...
after that, the prices will move based on market forces. Part of the reason for this is so that traders who log on at different time zones (this game is played all over the world) have a chance to trade the stocks and either sell off, hold them, short them, etc. Once reset happens, then the prices will start moving based on how many players shorted a stock, sold it, buy it, hold it, etc.
It gives everyone an equal chance on the day of adjusts to make their plays for the openers without being penalized if they weren't here at exactly the time the adjust happened....
Since movie stocks that opened this weekend are no longer halted, why don't the prices move until tomorrow? Sep 07, 13:59
