How much can a single purchase/sale of a movie move the needle?

Have you guys tracked this before?  Looking at some options today and my purchase of a stock was half the volume today.  I went long.  The stock dropped today by $0.04 and $0.02 after I purchased.  Is the "daily volume" not necessarily accurate? Or is the needle not just affected by daily activity?

Just curious.
