The latter are from what has been referred to as "The Bucket List" (thank you Blue Duck) for actors or directors without a credit for at least 3 years.
The former are projects that have been around the exchange for a long time that will not ever be made. Generally these delisted MovieStocks have been placed into Concept Phase. Occasionally there are big projcect whose studio has pulled the plug. Burt usually these delists are projects that have died of neglect. (Note: once in a while, they get resurrected at much higher IPO rates)
In addidtion, there are delists for bonded performers who pass away, for Movies that have gone straight to video (STV) or cable (STC) or even broadcast TV. There are delists for Funds that have reached their H&100 goal, or Studio Funds in September. TV Stocks get delisted when the shows are no longer on the air, or in May whichever is earlier
All of these are in addition to normal delists for wide releases after 4 weekends, limited releases after 12 weekends, .OW .CA .PU after the weekend of the opener.
Finally there are special derivatives that have their own delist dates. Such as .BW (12 weeks) and soon we will have Nominoption and Oscar derivatives.
