I trade StarBonds almost exclusively so I've been looking for an edge with moviestocks and the one you are talking about seems valid.  Just looking at charts, it seems like anything that has a big upswing, especially because of news, will then reverse the day after, and often times that initial bounce ends up being the all-time high.  Not sure how people spot these other than going through the list of stocks that had the biggest gains/losses on any given day and then fading them when they start to move in the other direction.
