If I read this correctly...
...then no, this doesn't work for longs.
if you short something at 20 and cover it at 15, then short it again you're only paying 15/share this time and you keep what you made on the short.
if you long something at 15 and sell it at 20, you're buying it back at 20 plus paying commission for selling and buying it back. so no benefit there.
does that make sense?
