If you short an awards option that delists at zero (the movie doesn't win), do you gain by the amount the price falls?

I've been playing casually since 2010, but I've never held on to an awards option until the bitter end, or shorted anything that ends up delisting.  I would greatly appreciate it if someone could answer this question.
