I personally don't play call and puts until a day or so before they halt unless I know they are guaranteed to go over strike price....
then I'll buy them at IPO. IPO trading is very risky for small ports as if they go down they can really hurt you for that day. IMO if you are going to IPO trade you need to be willing to take the risk.
