The point of the game is to diversify your portfolio the more it grows in value. The more money you have the more you can forecast and mix a steady amount of certain returns (e.g. SB's) with MS you feel will be a good future investment (more risky). You can also afford to purchase max 100k of the higher valued stocks.
Percentage gain is cool initially, but I prefer to look at money gained the more your port increases in size. Kaigee's Top 100 is always an exciting way to evaluate your performance, rather than looking at percentages.
