1) The changes began in November 2010, with a bump up to 75K and then a further bmp in Jan 2011 to 100K
2) Pretty much everyone loved the raised limits. Other changes like Saturday halt, etc were less well received
3) Great! More money for me! I had billions in cash sitting around doing nothing. I think though that the 100k limit has made prices a bit more volatile, so day-trading is a lot more attractive.
