At midnight HSX resets the 'change today' to 0 for all securities. So it's very easy to spot movement. Sometimes traders pick a stock to
buy hoping other people will see the movement and trade it also so it will move further. The stock moves more and more people buy it - especially if it is a low cost stock where commision and profit will be easily made up.
Then the stock moves more by day traders and people signing on in the morning to see what's new. It snowballs into what you see happened to this stock.
