WTF!? How can I cover stocks I dont own?
OK...Im new at this, so... I just wasted $115000 because I selected "Cover Max" instead of "Cover All" for a Stock I was shorting and wanted to get rid of. Instead of covering it, it SHORTED 100000 share of that stock and I had to eat a $113000 1% transcation fee.
Why does it buy/short 100000 shares when I cover max (vs Cover all)...how can it cover 100000 shares of a stock I only own 1000 shares of...Cover max should just sell off all the shares I shorted shouldnt it? I dont get this at all.

well, I only see "Short Max" and "Cover All" on the menu...could you have picked the wrong one? {nm} Mar 12, 08:20
