Have weekend estimates gotten more accurate in the last 3-ish years?

I know Cinderella is off by more than normal but I'm thinking that with most wide release getting Thursday night previews and online ticket sales going up studios have more data points to use on Sunday morning when putting out the weekend estimates, but I haven't been paying attention nearly long enough to remember estimates back in the 00's. 

Had anyone else noticed an increase in accuracy of weekend estimates?
