[SCIFI] March Report

Posted by: EarlyRetirement (a.k.a SCIFund) on Mar 31, 16:18

On March 3, 2015 the SCIFI went IPO.  So a few days shy of a full month in this report.  Being a new Fund Manager I feel the SCIFI Fund has shown promise and has been making a positive stance as a solid investment with the other MovieFunds.  Current time, 16:00 PST.  I am Eastern Time and time for me to leave for most of the rest of today.

Highlights for the SCIFI Fund this month were (HTUB2), (CHAPI), (SMEKD), (MNST2) and (HJACK) that help the fund propel to the majority of its gains during March.

What about the future.  We have (EXMCH) coming in April.  A Limited Release film which lacks in star power and the Distributor, A24 does not have a history of big winners to say the least, but usually does report box.  I think we can definitely see a justifiable drop in price on this one.  But it has some potential to be a sleeper, so I will be watching it closely.  Next on April 17 we see the release of another Limited Release, (MNST2).  A sequel of (MNSTS) that only reported $237,301 and ran in only 4 theaters making it a total box office flop.  So why a sequel?  I have no clue.  So far SCIFI has made a nice penny for you off (MNST2) holding it short.  At $1.43 I see it still being overpriced.  The next Wide Release film you will see comes in May when (MMAX4) and (1952) show up in back to back weekends.  I am starting to see some more positive things about (1952) and give it better odds to show better numbers for us.  I don't think Disney is going to let this one totally bomb.  (MMAX4), my confidence lacks due to a lot of outside issues that will effect this release.

Here are the numbers.  For the month of March the SCIFI Fund grew by 26.31%.  The SCIFI Fund was ranked #8 for the highest percentage gained when compared to all other MovieFunds.  SCIFI has been seen many times on the daily Top Movers Board.  I am going to chalk up the first month of the SCIFI Fund under my management as being positive but I hope I can do better for you in the future.

An upward trend in the SCIFI Fund is certainly what I am looking for to make the investors money each month.  I appreciate all those that have invest and have given confidence in me and giving me the opportunity to make you money in your portfolio.  As the SCIFI Fund's bank grows that gives me much more opportunity to invest more for you and the fund.  Let's see if I can even do better in the months ahead.  That is my report for the month of March 2015.
