If they don't check in once a week or once a month, are they going to remember to check in 8 months when it adjusts? If you don't play often
then star bonds are not the place to put your money. They need to be checked after adjust otherwise you could lose all your money, and more.
When I 1st started playing more frequently, I checked my port twice a week - on Saturday or Sunday to check latest box office for upcoming bonds and on Tuesday to process those bonds and maybe buy new ones. You don't need to daytrade to play bonds but you do need to play more than once a month.
