the further back you are in the LTD the more closely you are in port size to the players around you. the more you change positions each day.
you made 1 mill for the day and would pass 3 people who didn't make as much... but then several people ahead of you lost some money for the day pushing them backwards while you are moving forwards so you get a few more ranks
also some players in front of you are likely casual players who do not invest the same amount of time in the game that you do and miss daily news items that you pick up so you will be moving up faster than those players
Here is a list of some top 100 LTD players... about 10 of them were Dead/Retired/Abandoned accounts (even as high as #24 LTD and #25 LTD)
