The #1 Movie Prediction Contest is open! (info and link inside - entries due by midnight PST on June 30)

If you missed the discussion a while back, the competition is simple – just pick what you think will be the #1 movie for each weekend from the July 4 weekend to the end of 2016. Whoever has the most correct picks at the end of the year wins the contest. The contest prizes are pride, honour and the title of HSX Sensei.

To enter, click on this link below and complete the survey form by predicting the #1 movie for each weekend from the weekend of July 1-4 until the weekend of December 30-January 1.

Some brief info about the rules and processes.

Completing the survey:

· One entry per person. Please enter using the handle that you normally use on the HSX boards.

· You have to complete an entry for every question in the survey.

· If the movie you think will be #1 for a given weekend is not among the survey options, please select “Other” and enter the relevant HSX moviestock ticker symbol as your answer.

· After you complete the survey, you will get a thank you note with a link that will allow you to edit your response. You won’t be access this link later, so bookmark it if you want to reserve the right to change your mind.

· You can edit your picks until midnight PST Thursday, June 30.

Results:

· The #1 movie for each weekend will be determined using actual box office numbers.

· The relevant dates for each weekend are specified in the survey, and are for three day weekends unless otherwise specified. The July 4 and Labor Day weekends are four-day Friday to Monday weekends and the Thanksgiving weekend is the five day period from Wednesday to Sunday.

· A late release date changes affected your picks? Too bad for you.

Updates:

· All contest updates will be made on the Playing & Trading Strategy Board.

· After the entry period is closed, I will post a link to a Google Sheets spreadsheet that will be open to anyone. This will allow you to see everyone’s picks, the results for each weekend and a contest leaderboard. The spreadsheet will be updated on a weekly basis.

· I will post a contest update on the board every four weeks or so. Please don’t add to this with your own updates.

Movies opening that weekend are at the top of the list for each week. And if it has already opened, you've seen it on the previous question {nm} RogerMore Jun 13, 13:06
