In the past this has been ok. If you use multiple accounts to manipulate the market, that is bad. I have a YTD account and a lifetime
account. I also run a fund. Now it is important to note that Funds' purchases have no technical influence on market movement. Only trader's accounts affect the market with purchases. Now if enough traders mimic a Fund's holding, then the market may move because traders have made the purchases.
Back to multiple accounts. I day trade my YTD on all stocks and my Lifetime is now mostly a long term holder. You could have a Star Bond port...a derivative port...a "themed port" akin to the themed funds....
And when you have multiple ports, typically you want to post under one name. If you post the same opinion under multiple names, that is manipulation and a bad bad thing. I usually use Catzan but sometimes forget and post under my YTD, Macavity...but I don't try to influence the market with opinion...well...at least not intentionally...I hope I haven't...
