Playing & Trading Strategy

Some (certainly not all) of you choose to quickly reply with negative feedback, either taking my post(s) out of context so in any case I wish to (finally) bid all of you goodbye...

I'm on HSX most days (since June 2007 officially, but originally I played from '98 - 2000) and I check it like e-mail, the weather, etc. In other words, I don't wish to come here more than once a day but I do try to be here daily to play the HSX games for at least H$20K, maybe an additional H$50K. But I prefer not to spend more than 20 minutes doing so.

Let me be clear: I was never bragging about my net worth...I mentioned about upward growth over 10 years to show steady gains, nothing more. I was never after Leaderboard status. Yes, I'm aware of those that have made much larger gains in considerably shorter time. That's great for them! I have no interest whatsoever to follow HSX billionaires (especially after OlegMax--the richest port--admitted to cheating and was not permanently banned or at least fined 90 percent of his net worth).

Some of you need to do a Google search of HSX or re-learn what this game is supposed to be all about from the very beginning: A prediction market! Yes, that's right...seriously, look that up in case you forgot or never knew that. I only mention it as I've been criticized for my trading strategy, which shows I never lost my way. Allow me to explain:

My gains have been slow and steady (although, again, not bragging, but to beat the DJIA and S&P 500, or in past years, to perform 40 to 50 percent is not bad--not bragging, but not bad). So, yes, I've seen my rank & percentile increase along with my net worth, which allowed me to buy larger quantities of my already diversified portfolio. My idea was that slowly but surely I would no doubt one day reach that coveted #1 spot...not born out of delusion but based on mathematical certainty--that is, I calculate how long my percentile will take to increase another tenth of a percent while maintaining my trading strategy and each month of each year I surpass my goals! So, first I predict, then I make it happen.

Once and for all, I don't cater to conspiracy theories...but RotoHockey2013MainPort has numerous ports, and OlegMax cheated. This behavior affects EVERYONE and I'm sure they're not alone. You know, once upon a time at HSX they had t-shirts and hats and pens etc. allowing you to redeem your H$ (plus shipping) but the nanosecond I reached that required net worth it went away indefinitely. I've weathered through quite a few changes and also flat-out errors on this site but perservered anyway.

I suppose my goal of making it to that #1 spot someday and selling it on eBay will have to remain a dream put-off as I'm quite frankly tired of the number of ports that exist only to make a quick buck--not to predict anything, just do whatever it takes to make a fast buck and appear on some Leaderboard. Get a life...a REAL one. I've been criticized lately for not joining leagues and following HSX billionaires' funds for what? You know, did it ever occur to you that if enough people follow the trend of making up their own rules then that becomes the market itself? Seriously...the market for ANYTHING, real or fake, is not some object that operates on its own--the market IS the price at which the masses move it to!

Thus, in conclusion, I was hoping that as a prediction market HSX would operate in some online fashion to the real markets that I actually do participate in (and have since 1998). I was intrigued with its ticker tape, and titles like 'MovieStock', "StarBonds', Derivatives such as Options, and 'Studio Funds'. But instead, the reality is that in 2017, far too many people have literally been allowed to absolutely manipulate this game to their own advantage. Therefore, I'll be closing my own port in the coming days...I'm sure many will say "Good riddance!" whereas others are just beginning to discover what HSX has become, and hence my help will be of no use to them.
