Heh, soooo true! On those exciting Saturday ipo's, best to ride the waves as long as they roll and then look for the enxt shiny new ipo. At
15 trades a day...the best thing to do is pick openers. As far as strategies on that...there are some easy options. Box Office Mojo can show you patterns on certain films. notfabio posts tracking from RS and MTC. As I have run a theater for a few years, I have certain knowledge of patterns I have learned about print counts...theater counts...all turned upside down by studio expectations...or publicity...or bad/good tracking. At one point, I could tell last summer if a movie would open to 50m or higher just by checking screen count at about 8 theaters in my area (too bad I didn't listen to that theory when Speed Racer opened). If you are not in the biz as it were, you might check your local multi/megaplex for screen counts. Of course, some theaters are genre theaters and may get a ton of Tyler Perry prints and only 1 Sex and the City. That is some of the stuff you can look at.
